I used win7 to format the drive. I will erase everything off the drive and try 2fs next. No, I didn't see any errors.

tahr 6.0.2 won't boot after creating Save file

So tahr 6.0.2 boots fine and works but when I create save-file and then reboot the desktop is totally locked up. acer aspire 5250 laptop amd video 4Gb ram duo-core

Dell D610

Slacko 5.3.3 on a dell d610 laptop. Sound works and so do the buttons. Touchpad tap and scroll works. Broadcom 4318 wireless works. Running from a usb drive. Used unetbootin to install.

mplayer

When I click on a mp3 mplayer opens but doesn't play it. I have deadbeef installed and it plays the mp3 fine. Anyone else have this issue?

When using simple network setup-it doesn't connect upon reboot but using Dougal's it works fine upon reboot. D-Link pci card.

Just checking in- frugal install on my A31 thinkpad. So far everything works OOTB- sound-flashplayer-wireless. I must say that using puppy is like a breath of fresh air. I have been playing around with various distros with KDE and they are so slowwww on this lappy(2Ghz P4 with 512mb ram).

yes I have installed/uninstalled several things. Chromium7 installed and works fine. 14 added 2 entries to the internet and 2 to the network menus and none start it.

I don't know. I just installed the pet on a pristine frugal install of 5.2.5 and it worked. Try this: go to the directory /usr/lib/chrome-linux and click chrome-wrapper. It should say, Chromium cannot be run as root. OK. Then open a terminal in that directory and enter ./chrome-wrapper --user-data-...

The pet or the sfs? If the sfs use the menu entry to try to start.
