I ran a GeForce4 card on my old box. I could only get low-res, no 3d etc. video performance 'till I installed the proprietary specialized NVidia drivers. I think doing so will probably fix your problems.
Also check the KDE services manager as TazOC suggested.

I was very disappointed with ReBoot here. They have indeed 'done a deal with the devil'. However, I discovered a local organization called Free Geek. They have a parts thrift store and sell complete refurbished systems for very reasonable prices. You can even earn a system by volunteering! Check it ...

OK. I've checked things out.
I'm afraid ReBoot has made a deal with the devil - they suck!
However, I discovered these folks: http://freegeekvancouver.org/
They totally rock! Check out the 'thrift store' link.

But aren't you a bit like our Husky sled dogs in the Great White North? A little on the wild side, eh?

Hello ? anyone ? ... This is a great distro, too bad that it seems that there will not be soon a new version... This alpha version was only released in early February, its a little unrealistic to expect one man to iron out all the bugs to create a beta version in just three months! Be patient, I'm s...

jonyo is pointing the finger at Australia, he might want to take a look in our own back yard. Sorry, MU I misunderstood what you were saying. The SFSs are added after creation of a save file, whether on hard drive, USB stick, or CD/DVD. Thereafter they are part of the live CD or USB installation. Adding them to the CD prior to, or without a save file would be something very different - sorry...

It puts the "base" and "addon" files in a single pup_301.sfs. I decided to do this, as Puppy still is not able to mount a second sfs from CD using unionfs. I'm using Lighthouse Puppy with two SFSs: K3B &'Mariner'. I'm not sure if LHPup uses unionfs or not, though. Perhaps Ta...

Sorry for the confusion!
I went back and read your first post and now better understand what you are trying to achieve:
a point'n'click minimal Puppy w/downloader for the distro of one's choice.
Neat!

Hi Wolven, I'm familiar with your excellent work with Wolvix Linux: http://wolvix.org/ Will you be offering a download script for your own distro? ;-) Frankly, if you've noticed a less than overwhelming response to your initiative, I think you may consider that a couple of factors could be in play h...

On the whole we are thus more similar than we may at times feel. Of course a person living in an entirely different culture, one that is very foreign to our own, is constructed in a way that we are truly unable to understand or know (and vice versa). Torture is not only inhuman, it is a fundamental...
