I'm trying to figure out how to get my touchscreen on this MSI Pennote 3100 working. I have looked at the manual and website, but haven't found much more than information identifying it as a touchscreen. I can't seem to identify who made the device or anything. Figured it out. My flash was formated FAT32. I reformatted to a FAT16 drive as the primary bootable partition and formatted the remainder FAT32 since it was too much for a single FAT16 drive.

So, I got puppy on a USB stick that boots on other machines, but I can't get it to boot on the pennote. I keep getting the error Could not find kernel image: linux boot: I've tried several different mbr options: default sys-nopart.mbr mbr.bin mbrfat.bin spb2_mbr Any other hints or some documentation...

I have a MacBook Pro which seems to be having trouble with the CD drive so I want to try to install Puppy directly on my USB flash. Is there any way to do that? Morktron? How did you manage to get any install media (usb/cd) to boot on this? I can't seem to get into the BIOS to even see if options exist to boot by USB.
