Not shure, rutilt will connect but not use dhcpcd automatically, i think. You can start it with a profile, however, like this: rutilt -p <profile-name> Or you can use my autoconnect utility (new version coming soon): http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?search_id=1341360436&t=26935 fudgy

sorry, there is actually an easier way. In the bootmanager add your module to load. Your device needs one of the already existing drivers: It should be rt73, rt25xx or something similar. If you are not shure which one is correct, type lsmod in a console after running the network wizard. Then look in...

Hi plinej,

I think it is not useful to store wireless profiles on more than one place in puppy. Traditionally this is /etc/WAG/profiles-config. How about reading and writing to that file with the existing function library at /usr/sbin/wag-profiles.sh ?

De...

0. boot with pfix=ram
1. create a new savefile, with encryption
2. resize it, reboot to apply.
3. copy over all files
# cp -f /[old_savefile_mnt_point] /
4. Reboot
Note: password is entered with us keyboard layout (!) even if you changed that beforehand.

Learn to live with ROX - it's one of the fastest and most intelligent solutions out there. It's worth the efford. On first sight one might miss a folder tree or something. Ok. But the filesystem tree - you have it in mind, don't you ? Customize window resizing, file sorting, icon s & icon sizes,...

Sorry, I dont understand. GRUB stage 2 lives on its own ext3 partition. GRUB doesnt need to be able to read ntfs. It must however be able to start another bootloader on a well defined physical place on the partition. (chainloader command) But chainloader +1 is never executed because the partition ty...

ja das geht. 1. Du lädst das System herunter und kopierst ein paar Dateien in einen Ordner auf der Festplatte (ca 80 MB) Gratulation! Du hast jetzt ein lauffähiges Puppysystem auf der Platte. 2. Du möchtes das jetzt starten. Dazu musst du grub4dos verwenden. Ntloader lädt dann ein Menü, dort wählst ...
