Broadcom 4306 (Sony Ericsson / Tmobile gc89) pc card works with puppy 4.21 seamonkey retro out of the box. This is the only distro, puppy or not, that I've found that works with this card trying on a couple computers I have.

Slimming puppy

I'm looking to cut some glut. How can remove a lot of the programs that run at boot. Most of the stuff in htop isn't needed or wanted like pwidgets and cups to name a few.

Thanks for your time. I've just realized that I was trying different versions of 4.31, which my computer doesn't like I guess. The method you described worked perfectly for me with 4.21

Manual frugal install

I've been trying to manually do a frugal install by copying the files over from the iso and then pointing grub to it. I'm guessing this isn't possible? Puppy can only be installed via universal installer?

Looks like from 4.11 to 4.2 my drivers got left out by accident. Hopefully this is something I can solve.

I'm unable to use my wireless card with turbopup. It works fine with the puppy 4.2 seamonkey retro version. It recognizes the card as it appears in the network list broadcom bc43xx. When I test eth1 I get the SIOCSIFFLAGS error. It would be awesome if somebody could point me in the right direction t...
