pupp improvement
I try puppy with unetbootin. However, I have to write to the USB drive from Windows, because unetbootin doesn't work on puppy (or at I can't get all of those dependancies loaded - including pzip-full). I have a Belkin USB wireless dongle that seems to work OK with all kinds of distros. However, I al...

Video problem on GX100
Hi, in addition to waiting for the wireless bug fix, I have a new problem when I try it on an old Dell GX100. The mouse doesn't match up to the window it looks like it's in. I know this sounds weird, but I've seen it on several other distros as well. You can get the mouse clicks to respond to a wind...

Wireless not working on Dell E6500 with "Dell Wireless-N WLA
Hi, I brought this up many pages ago, and maybe I've missed the solution in the many pages since (now up to 62 pages), but Wireless does not work on my Dell Latitude E6500. Presently, if I want wireless, I have to attach a USB one. Other than that, it's super - Fast boot, fast wired connection, Fast...

Dell Latitude internal wireless not seen (Broadcom???)
----- Unfortunately you didn't specify which type of install you have. Frugal? Full? When frugal copy the corresponding zpxxxxxx.sfs to the partition on which the save file is. I didn't install at all - I simply booted off of USB. In fact, I pulled out the hard drive, so I wouldn't mess up my WIN-XP...

wireless
Hi, I thought you might like to know that the internal wireless card in my Dell Latitude E6500 isn't "seen" by this Lucid Puppy 113. I think is has a Broadcom device in it. This is the same for the pup-44-a1 that just came out. However the old pup-431-2 (pup-44 pre-alpha) DOES work. I repo...

You're so kind to change that to DELL DUDE. Here's the files. I should have added the -a1 to _44, but I'm sure the sames are obvious enough. Thanks a lot for looking into this. I could only put one at a time, so I plunked them into a single file - I hope that's OK - I contemplated several compressio...

Hi again. I'm the lame dude that can't figure out wireless on the Dell Latitude E6500. I realized I only complained, and didn't applaud this great OS. Please let me fix that by saying thanks !!! I got wireless to work, but only by using an external USB dongle. And another thing about that dongle is ...

Hey, thanks for the reply. I went ahead and used the puppy 4.4 Control Panel to access Grub (not Grub2). You are absolutely right - you have to change the names of kernal (vmlinuz-versionNum). Anyway, puppy 4.4 helps you a lot by adding an entry for each partition you have. My silly problem was that...

I don't have the internet problem, but I can't figure out how to modify GRUB2 to dual-boot. I am using Linux Mint 8 LXDE and pup-431-2.iso (the 4.4 alpha or beta) To get puppy to connect, I simply used the Menu->Control Center->Network->Wireless. Anyway, now I have Mint that I can hard-disk boot, bu...

GX100 does not power off
This still does not power off - only halts. The drive seems to spin down, but the fan and monitor are still alive. Also, p7zip-full is not available.
