GRUB seems to be broken in all new Pups with a full install. I've tried all manner of conditions, and it never works. Install of the OS goes fine, but when I try to install Legacy GRUB it says it cannot copy the files. The default DOS GRUB also does not work for me. It installs, but then it will ne...

Hmm. I just did a fresh install of 6.0.6 with the xenial 4.9.x kernel, and fstab now gets preserved. It's for mounting things. I use it to mount my 4 HDDs and set them up with mhddfs at boot, to do a RAID 1 type deal to use for my NAS. I still have my sfs with the "/mnt/XXXX" folders for m...

Running the xenial 64 bit kernel on Tahr, too. Works, but when I rebooted the first time both samba and ssh server broke. For ssh I had to blank the "hosts.deny" file and change the "hosts.allow" file to let anything connect. For samba I just added restart commands to a script I ...

It will run in a window. I accidentally discovered it. Hit "\" to switch between windowed and full screen modes.

EDIT: Lassar, this is really cool.

Tahr 64 bit 6.0.6

I'm running from a USB drive. Every time I add an fstab config it gets wiped out by the default one on reboot. Only way I found to fix it is to create an sfs with just fstab in it to load at startup. Next issue is that fstab config is not loaded at boot like it should be. To fix this I added a scrip...

Huh. I decided to combine my NAS and KODI just at the right time. This works great. One issue I found is if you're using Intel HD video, you need to disable the last option for hardware video, or it crashes any time you try to play anything. At least anything that I tried. It's an option with sub-op...

Wow. I can't believe it's been this long.

I've had lots of life stuff happen, and haven't touched this project since my last post.

Glad to know it has already gotten some use.

Seems to run great. I too need 32 bit compatibility though, and the way to do it with Ubuntu doesn't seem to work. http://askubuntu.com/questions/454253/how-to-run-32-bit-app-in-ubuntu-64-bit Did the steps in the above and I get the following. bash: /usr/bin/skype: cannot execute binary file: Exec f...

I've had issues with HDMI over long distances. Something CAT doesn't mind till well beyond HDMI "limits". For instance, a cheap set of HDMI cables (that cost 5x the equivalent length CAT6) still needed a passive repeater to get just 60ft. This was a real world example, and I tested them wi...

It's still giving me weird issues. It built an iso this time, but it still did not make an sfs. It just copied the apupsys dir into the iso instead. It also did not copy the kernel to the iso.

I used option 8 on a full HD install.

OP needs updated with latest script. I did try the one that is updated in the OP, and I got an iso that was 34k and could not be mounted or used. Trying the latest one now. EDIT: Not working. It does not create a sfs and the iso it makes is 34k still and useless. Not sure what else to try. It's doin...

I should have another UL to play with very soon.

In addition to the original list NASTahr now has Mediatomb installed and working. :)

What happens if you copy a new background image into the folder and move an original out of it. Then rename the new file to the original file name and try using it?
