Booting Puppy Precise LiveCD Nvidia issues SOLVED!
G'day I have noticed some people with an Nvidia computer say they get a blank screen when booting later versions of Linux (like Ubuntu, Slackware and Puppy Precise); I have a fairly modern Gaming Laptop with Dual Nvidia Cards (sli) and since the beginning of 2012 I get a repeating flashing screen of...

G'day Thanks Semme for the link - I had done a goodly amount of trial and error beforehand without success so instead of reinventing the wheel..... That link had a solution that works: (step by step guide for those uninitiated) --. Right-Click the docx file --> Set Run Action --> Enter a shell comma...

Opening docx with Word 2007
G'day, setting a computer up for my father with Puppy as WinXP support is coming to an end. However, getting him to move away from MSOffice is a bit too much to ask. I've set up the run action for paf files (another windows app) and it works fine: wine path-to/paf.exe "$@" but... I tried t...

OpenOffice 4.0 Office Suite (gb lang version)
G'day, I cobbled this package together and it works well in a fresh Puppy Lucid install. I kinda expect it to work well in other Puppies as long as glibc has been updated for the older Pooch.... I'll get around to testing it in 3.01 soonish.... I haven't tested the Java support yet but I expect it'l...

G'day, back again just to update you that I've made a squashfile of the new Openoffice - I've just tested it on a fresh install of Puppy Lucid - works like a charm! I'll upload it (pretty big at just a smidge under 150mbs) and I'll post it in the Software Section sometime tomorrow.... Cheers Martin ...

Libreoffice Openoffice and MSOffice 2007 at the same time!
G'day, I was quite curious to see what Apache had done with our beloved Oo - so I installed Openoffice 4.0 - the sidebars are quite innovative...i like. I was always led to believe that you can't have an install of Libreoffice and Openoffice at the same time.... well not on Ubuntu anyway... but curi...

A new Repo for old dotpups n dotpets n sfs
G'day, I noticed that I seem to have a lot of older dotpups and dotpets and another repository can't hurt - and I've quite a bit of unused bandwidth and storage space available so...... Still i the process of uploading a lot of files (no iso) to my Mediafire account. There's a quite a bit there alre...

G'day all,
This is a simple repackaging of an older Audacity which seem very stable on my Puppy Lucid. I've included 46 Tone Generators + 309 Effects to play around with....

Question about Russoodle's Repository
G'day, Over the past couple of weeks I've tried to download Ardour 3 - but keep getting this same message - "This Account Has Been Suspended". Is it something about my setup that's causing this or is this a genuine outage or has Russoodle after 6+ years let it go? Just wondering if someone...

G'day, just came across this discussion and like the last post - the link is dead... if someone has this sfs, even temporarily, I can upload it to my mediafire account so the access continues - my mediafire account has been active for 4 years and I'm not likely to stop paying for it in the foreseeab...

G'day, Link to plugins for Geany 1.23 is dead - I got this download from a Japanese site. Mediafire for file hosting
G'day, I've used Mediafire for around 4 years (I pay a low monthly subscription - good bandwidth, download speeds and direct download link) and never once has a file been deleted. Mediafire has a free account that has 50GBs storage - maximum of 200mbs file size - and I logged into an older free acco...

Hi all, Was a good question that I had never asked myself - all my audio processing has been either compromised (audacity) or has sunk me into a black hole of lost time (ardour). I never thought to look for software that could insert realtime fx into a single stream.. until now! http://www.wavosaur....
