aarf, Thanks for your testing! I can say the first Xampp.sfs I uploaded was faulty. I have remedied that, it was a file permissions problem - so afaik the new one works. I certainly haven't deliberately made this SFS unusable, but I most certainly don't claim to be infallible. Sincere apologies for ...

Request for comprehensive fix for Ayttm....
We are still getting people with problems in #puppylinux with ayttm. I request a full and comprehensive fix - to be released - one that either replaces ayttm with midori + webirc page or a fixed ayttm - OR include xchat as default. I would also like to ask that all old releases 5.0 - 5.1 with broke...

I've tried unpacking the initrd.gz scripts to see if I can figure out how to circumvent the finding of the pupsave and hard code it in. I found the lines in init once I unpacked the initrd.gz cd to directory containing initrd.gz mkdir initrd-tree cd initrd-tree/ zcat ../initrd.gz | cpio -i -d FND_PU...

Backup Files Installing a Pet might Overwrite.
Ver 0.1 http://www.4shared.com/file/Wxw26g0O/Backup_Overwrites-01.html This little pet will enable you to check if you DO have files that will be overwritten by installing any PET packages and back them(the files) up for you. So I spent a little bit of time figuring out how, hopefully the result wi...

Run alsawizard in console... hopefully the steps are straight-forward enough you'll hopefully get a woof woof at the end... if not run alsamixer - check all your levels are up. Hope t...

I'd be happy to do a re-design 4 puppylinux.org... Even the newpage is droll, I think puppylinux might benefit from a sleeker, more fun look. I'll work on some simple css mods to start with. We'll see if a quick CSS change can't fix things right up. Paul P.S - Yeah - the donation button should be mo...

Hi vinayv, If you have a frugal installation you can just extract the vmlinuz + lupu-511.sfs + initrd.gz from the new 511.iso (using isomaster) and replace your 510 files with them. - ( if you have the option/space just rename your old 510 files: ie vmlinuz-old + initrd.gz-old + lupu-510.sfs-old ---...
