I've made a 64bit 5.7.8 kernel, in both Ubuntu and Slacko compatible flavours, via Puppy kernel-kit, with no firmware - needs fdrv - see below. Incorporates some recent mmc changes. Is partially Zombieload mitigated - needs microcode - see this howto: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=103...

Discontinuing

Release above is almost certainly my last 32bit Firefox ESR .pet
I no longer have any 32bit linux installed, so can't test, & have not been many downloads.
Another 32bit firefox option is available here: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=119135

@perdido - You are right - I was looking at the names listed in the forum sub-headings. I don't plan to move unless everything does. John's profile says he's a 'man of mystery'. I was interested in his hosting details & just drew attention to his own site & our current expiry date.

A search shows namecheap.com hosts this site & John's personal site murga.org - I guess interested parties tried the email address there. This site is paid til 20 Nov 20 & namecheap has a 'make a bid' button for the murga-linux.com name (NOT suggesting that). Flash seems the only active Mod,...

I have mixed feelings. The new site looks great. Could be a good move. But there is a wealth of content on this site. Access for older systems seems a limitation on the new. Search & attachment options are an issue on this site. Hopefully, rockedge has several 'lieutenants' in mind for continuit...

@tomas - I've set up 2 instances of puppy, one for normal & one for hdmi, as sound AND video can be affected. I simply boot whichever I need. They are on the same partition in different folders, with the normal one having a save folder & the hdmi one a differently named save file.

@didit - the install names are largely misnomers. Frugal is the standard install & saving with the save folder option has almost identical function to the old-style full install. Modern pups are not designed for that old style.

@davids45 - Re- no menu:- ctrl-alt-backspace will exit xwindow, (then can input reboot or poweroff), but from that command line, as your other issue looks like a video res problem, try this - run xorgwizard, select set screen res, then choose res (1366x768?) then select done. Then run xwin.

Social media overall unnerves me. I signed up for twitter when it first started, thinking it was an open news feed. Dozens of strangers wanted to follow me, so I quit after 2 days. I prefer this focussed, (usually) friendly forum. I wish the PLUG well.

NOTE: Runs my CPU better than 9th June 20 one did.
