spelling error - Mouse/keyboard Wizard

Setup -> Mouse/keyboard Wizard -> Layout for your country
Keyboard Layout Ok -> Keyboard Interface Ok
Advanced configeration Ok -> Main Keyboard Model
"Here is a list of all the keyboard nodels available"
That should read "models" and not "nodels".

How to run Puppy safely?

I love Puppy and while not an expert, I can appreciate the genius of Puppy's operating system. We are told that Puppy is safer for web banking, and each time we log out the operating system is removed from memory, thus getting rid of any malware that may have entered the system. This is true for a f...

How to add icons to the taskbar?

Thank you for your help, but these suggestions are over my head. I will probably leave Ubuntu and switch to Mint as my main operating system. I still love Puppy and will continue to recommend it. I gave my 12 year old grandson a Puppy CD and he got an old laptop connected to his home wireless with i...

I am trying to add icons to the taskbar. I require "force quit", "gnome commander", "terminal (console)", "chromium" and "firefox". I have googled the problem and the answers do not help me. In particular - gtrayicon and JWM Configuration Manager do ...

The TTY problem occurred in my case because I have a SATA harddrive. Install Puppy 4 with the 2.6.25 kernel - that solved it for me.

English - Hebrew editing in Puppy 216 (solved)

Oops. I may have spoken too soon. I said "I have downloaded the liberation-fonts-ttf-3.tar.gz file from https://www.redhat.com/promo/fonts/ and installed them. They work fine in English and Hebrew."

I now find that they work in English only.
Sorry.

English - Hebrew editing in Puppy 216 (solved)

"Don't the unicode fonts that come with Puppy work with it? Anyway, better use the Liberation fonts and not some MS tinofet! " A good question. Only DejaVu Sans works in English and Hebrew. All the other fonts that come with Puppy 216 do not. A Google search of Liberation fonts turned up t...

English - Hebrew editing in Puppy 216 (solved)

I have set up Puppy 216 to work in Abiword and OpenOffice in English and Hebrew. What I write here should be of interest to others who use CTL (complex text layout) languages such as Arabic and Farsi. CTL languages are written from right to left, except for numbers which are written from left to rig...

Thanks for your help but it still doesn't work. Let's forget it. I have added an extension to firefox 2.0 called "foxclocks" which gives me exactly what I want at the lower right corner of my monitor - time to the second, day of week and date.

I would appreciate further clarification. Which file is being modified?
