Hi tempestuous, I tried as much as I could to "self help" but I am coming to a dead end. I've downloaded Barry's Quirky 006 and have it up and running. I've also downloaded and copied the firmware to the firmware folder as you indicate. But for the life of me I cannot figure out how to ins...

What you tell me is somewhat short of devastating news! OK ok... I know I'm sounding a bit dramatic, but if I read between the lines, until I'll need to... "wait". It's a hard call when my hardware is limited to the IBM T22. You mention that puppy will need to upgrade to the latest kernel....

I am more than 14,000 kilometres away, but even from here I can feel the rubber band stretching to the point of breaking. For the sake of all XO owners, give it a rest. Stop preaching. The idea of having a revamped XO at home is gift I cannot thank enough to the enlightened souls who will invest tim...

I'll throw in my two cents worth. It sounds to me like the followers of XOpup simply have a case of donkey, when he was with Shrek going to the land far far away... "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" I guess there's no harm meant. Just donkeish anxiety. http://sidowsky...

No doubt! I have seen some of the activities in the forum. And more importantly, the holidays with the family as well! I'll continue monitoring this thread. My girfriend's 8 year old is driving me nuts, hence the follow up. Take care and enjoy the summer! I'll touch base every now and then to see ho...

Hi ttuuxxx! Hope you're enjoying the Aussie summer. Hey, quick question... I noticed an XOpup iso in one of your directories. Is this a working copy? Is this the result of the work you have done so far? Are we missing an "announcement"? Cheers and please let us know if this is work in prog...

GrumpyWolfe, I cannot see the option to delete private history in your latest pet. Has this been removed?

I think we don't necessarily need a whole puplet for this since it's not that large or complex; a pet would probably be enough. Although I'm absolutely planning on using it for my Fluppy puplet for netbooks and I know Barry is trying to make Quirky netbook-friendly so it would be of interest there ...

Extreeeeemely slow to copy from USB

Hi, I recall having seen a post someone before but cannot track it down anywhere. Here's the questions: Whenever I want to copy something from my USB disk, it takes "forever" to finalise. Example, copying the pup_431.sfs file to the hard drive can take anywhere up to half an hour, literall...

This may not be the case, but the thought that came to mind was: "What's faster? Sneezing or blinking?" Sometimes the difference is so negligable that we get lost in the nano seconds more or less it could take for an image to get rendered. I too have little RAM, but find that if it takes a...

Hey Mavrothal, I've read your posts.. you are not a cheerleader!!
Be that as it may... to all of you, please continue. This will change the XO mindset worldwide. You guys are aware of that, right?

Hi,

My install is working without problems.

One comment though, the Subject indicates 003, however pet name is 002.

Please update pet link or correct Subject so it removes ambiguity.

Thanks!

Re: Noob - simpler than Eldy

Hi tlchost, any chance you can share your sfs file with the community? This is a great opportunity to assist a close elderly relative with day to day problems on how to navigate, send emails, etc Yes....when I get back to the office I will place it on puppylinux.us Thanks. Looking forward to it!
