I often check the health of the forum, but don't see so many of the posts ... This one did get my attention though :-P I also find that link quite amusing... And at the time (it is well over a decade old), there were prospective employers who did not like it due to the fact that they felt that it wa...

I guess this has been going for a week :-( I have disabled the offending functionality and I believe it is fixed. Please let me know how it is now. For...

Re: Re-tune your email spam filters [SOLVED]
Hey, BTW: Just out of curiosity, what's happened to the Flash ad in the top right corner? I believe some people reckoned it gave them occasional rendering/connection problems..? It was removed ... They had not paid out for a long time, but their sponsorship was effectively funding the forum for the ...

Upgrade complete-ish
Hey, Apologies for the DNS propagation issues, hopefully they only last a few hours. I had to re-import the database thus loosing about a dozen posts made since the upgrade. I apologize to those affected. Basically I have had to hack my way around a couple of issues running the forum software on mod...

Server change
Hi,
The forum will be read only for a few hours tomorrow as it's moved to a new server with a new provider.
Hopefully most of you will see an improvement when this work is complete.
Have a great day
Cheers

Hi, Took a look at the posts and I can only apologize for not acting earlier ... Even though it was Flash who acted anyway ;-) I did tend an olive branch out to mama21mama ... Trying to explain that lack of respect towards others is unacceptable. However, both myself and the forum were victims of a ...

I disabled mama21mama's account and removed his signature so our forum doesn't point to anything of his. Also I removed some of what appeared to me to be the worst of his posts. I might have left some that are clearly objectionable to someone who speaks Spanish. All hands on deck for another attack...

OK ... I could not stop myself, and played with it today. Used the tweaked debain build here : http://www.raspbian.org/PiscesImages Everything I did on the command line was pretty OK ... Everything in X seemed pretty slow. I just realized that the old USB charger I was using for power was very under...

Last time I checked HDMI to VGA adapters cost more than a PI Not all of them - there's a bog std. one for a couple of quid in the CPC catalogue if you've got time to search it out. If you're desperate, I can look up the code from past orders and PM it. Later: sorry, can't find it - must've been a t...

Yes, but what can I do with it if I buy one? Can it run Puppy? By the time you get it, you should be able to yes, right now it would be Fedora or Debian. Can I use it with a TV card? You can use it with a TV card (to see the output on your PC) But if you mean use a TV card with it, to record/view T...
