Good question. Osmo had other dependencies too (libgringotts, libnotify ...) - if you think the libical dependency is useful, I'll rebuild the package to re-add it.

The only issue with it, apart from that it's an old version (1.6.0, they are up to 1.8.3 which I compiled and works in slacko, so should here) is tha you get the SSL certificate errors. i suppose a new package should be made for SSL certificates and made available for all puppies. I'll add the cert...

There's a bug in sfs_load - it should obtain the numeric kernel version using `uname -r | cut -f 1 -d \-`. Otherwise, it doesn't work at all with kernels that have an extra version string.

There's a bug in sfs_load - it needs to use uname -r | cut -f 1 -d \-, not uname -r.

EDIT: there you go - these packages will be included in the next release.

Also the people at icecat get their own "Yikes!" for... s-s-l-l-o-o-w-w-n-n-e-e-s-s. Yes, it's incredibly slow. I think the right thing to do is to replace it with some lightweight browser (NetSurf?), because Abrowser is quite big (so I don't want to maintain a PET package for it) and Ice...

mirrored here: http://archive.org/details/librepup-6.0.2.0 Thanks! Your pup holds great potential but it urgently needs a wardrobe! I mean: you provide only one jwm theme, only two icon themes, only one TTF font, and the usual set of mostly ugly or bland Puppy themes... Franciscan monks take an oat...

Librepup 6.0.2.2

Librepup 6.0.2.2 http://librepup.info/logo.png What is it? It's a puplet based on tahrpup 6.0.2 that: - Uses Trisquel 7 packages instead of Ubuntu 14.04 ones; most package versions are the same as in tahrpup - Replaces Pale Moon with QupZilla - Replaces Linux with Linux-libre and does not ship the ...

I just updated kernel-kit to add support for deblobbed and longterm kernels.

stemsee - feel free to add your kernel configuration to woof-CE, so others can use it more easily.

they are mostly in the z_tahrfix.pet which is from tahrpup32. I see. Though would be nice, if something is improved to be added in woof, so can be used in the future, instead of just clobbering the woof files. Should not be difficult since jlst, L18L and you of course have pushed changes into woof,...

I'm not convinced. x32 may improve performance only in some cases and creates compatibility issues (since you can't mix x32 binaries with x86_64 ones).

Yes, and having option to switch easy both should be considered as advantage. You're wrong. Debian doesn't really offer this choice. Take a look at xfce4-power-manager , a critical component of Xfce. It depends on libpam-systemd, which in turn depends on systemd (because it performs logind D-Bus ca...

Systemd is the default init in Jessie. It's Puppy that we're all worried about, not Debian or *dog. And Devuan will use 99% (or even more) official Debian packages and 1% modded packages without systemd as dependency. Let them be and keep them away from real Debian development. Seems you're not fam...

Why not let iguleder finish his job on Woof/Devuan first? My job here is done. I wanted to get woof-CE to work against the base packages (e.g udev) from Devuan, since I have intimate knowledge with both distros. I took care of the dirty low-level work so other, more talented people can do the fun u...

It's a fork of Debian, which allows the use of multiple init systems. It's good as a base for Puppy, because the systemd dependency of many packages in Devuan is dropped, while distros like Ubuntu adopt it.
