MIDI Timer/Resolution still not right
Hi l0wt3ch, Posted this on the other thread but must have been missed. Loaded up the new RT kernelled version but still get the "Resolution too Low" warning in Rosegarden. This can be checked simply by starting up Jack then Rosegarden & looking for a yellow warning triangle at the bott...

Hi GustavoYz I'm not running aMSN on Puppy yet. I got distracted by Puppy-Studio which I am setting up on that same laptop. I will get to a stage where I would like to install aMSN but I'm still a bit puzzled by the repos in Puppy. I understand that if the Repos are not ticked they don't show up in ...

How do I install Synaptics Driver for touchpad
Hi I have a Compaq R3000 2.8Ghz Celeron Laptop with a full install of Puppy 5.1. I've tried to adjust my touchpad settings but it tells me that the Synaptic Touchpad driver is not installed. As well as that I get a high pitched and crackling sound that I can just hear in normal use and gets worse wh...

Thanks shako, That tip will help for now. I really need this laptop for audio work so if that's the trick just now it will do. Meantime I've installed 2.6.33.5-rt25 which seems to work fine except that I still get the issue with Rosegarden noted in my previous post so it's probably unrelated to the ...

Thanks Lobster, That's one heck of a resource which I will certainly delve into. Trouble is, once I have the source code (tarball) do I treat it the same way as in Ubuntu or do I require something puppyishly extra? Pre-Lucid all seemed to be well worked and tight but we seem to be between two stools...

Hi bigpup, Did you run examine dependencies before you selected install? Yes I did. I was trying to install aMSN 98.3, which comes from the Ubuntu-style repos. It came up afterwards that some dependencies, and some libraries in my case, couldn't be located. I believe there's an aMSN 97.2 in the Pupp...

Hi, I get the scrambled text scrolling issue on Puppy 5 on Firefox - text lines scramble when you scroll. I have a Presario R3000 which has plenty of RAM, 1.5Gb, and a Celeron 2.8Ghz processor. It has an ATI Radeon 9100 graphics chip in it so it could be a driver problem. I've tried choosing the Rad...

aMSN pet version
Brown Mouse,
Incidentally, can you uninstall via the package manager too? Or is there another method?
Thanks.
No I haven't tried that but I will - it's an older version but would do just now.Have you tried using amsn_tcltk-0.97.2_8.5.2.pet?
Incidentally, can you uninstall via the package manager too? Or is there another method?
Thanks.

Lucid Repos/Dependencies
Thanks, I will download and try. Looks good. :) But also, is it possible to download from the Lucid repos without dependency issues? If it's a case of downloading then chasing a few dependencies then that's fine so long as I know I've not got something set wrongly & I'm setting myself up for a b...
