Will return the edimax and have ordered a TP-link TL-WN321G from Amazon. I am hoping I can plug it in and that the connection wizard will identify it. Do you know which driver it chooses?
Netgear router is set as 'open' without password - so i guess it just picks it up.

Just installed Poppy 4.2.1 on inspirion 8000. i have a Netgear router plugged into the desk top and want to use the old laptop as wireless ( and take to hot spots to run it on the move). Hi, seem to have set up Puppy with a very small screen : went for the default option when 1024 x 768 didn't work I have an inspiron 8000 ; and 1024 x 768 x 32bit should work. Just set up latest Puppy installatation on Dell Inspiron 8000. Trying to connect to netgear router uding wireless USB nLite adaptor.
