Hi, Can anyone point me in the direction of a puppy with almost no applications. I want the smallest footprint (Megabytes) so I can load only those apps I use.
Thanks

Setting up Multisession on a USB boot?
Can you help me work out how to configure a USB boot with a multisession save? This is easy with a CD. My reasoning is that if I want to see the changes that have happened on each save, a multisession configuration allows this.

Thanks. I checked the ibiblio md5 against the ibiblio sfs and both checked out ok. To recreate the headers I mounted the sfs on Ubuntu and used mksquashfs on the mount point directly. The output was a v4 squashfs like the original. That version was mounted by lupu528 without complaint. Following the...

USB Boot Failing to find lupu_528.sfs
A usbstick which boots on an Acer 5535 (USB 2.0) is dropping out in the init script during ramdisk part of boot on a new HP ProBook 455. The BIOS is running the USB mbr, which gives me the boot menu. When I start lupu_528 booting, when it tries to load the lupu_528.sfs file, it fails and drops to an...

Thanks I managed to see the files in each fs by cd /initrd/pup_rw and doing an ls -lR. As you say, seamonkey is a bit hungry in its cache. I also found the System > Boot Manager menu where I can specify additional sfs to load on boot. I've now got enough info to be able to clear out the caches from ...

Hi Pupmode is 7 Usb is a usb 2 device Is there a way of logging what is being written out? I am wondering if puppy is writing all my /initrd/pup_rw to the ext3 USB device each time I save. Smallest Puppy ISO - Fast Boot from a USB stick?
Hi I am looking for the smallest ISO of Puppy. I want to boot quickly from a USB stick. I only need to use a web browser and wifi network. I am happy to install a browser and networking stuff myself from PETs. Should I be looking at a build which loads files from the USB on-demand? Any suggestions? R
