The url is http://sakurapup.browserloadofcoolness.com/ There is no alt forum. I am not sure this forum can be used in Japanese. It will be too much work to migrate the existing forum data to this forum, I think. I am not an expert of phpBB, I am just guessing. Besides, I don't see Chinese, Korean, o...

I totally agree with Bizuayeu's suggestions for 5.x development. Puppy was developed originally for "English only" Linux distribution but it has been used and loved by many non-English speaking Linux enthusiasts around the world. Puppy needs to speak more languages to grow. Can someone ple...

SeaMonkey 1.1.14 for puppy 4.1.1

Hi Béèm, Have you actually tried the above method to upgrade SeaMonkey? I am trying to upgrade 1.1.11 in puppy 4.1.1 to 1.1.14. I followed the above instruction but I got the following segmentation fault and won't be able to upgrade. Any suggestion? --------------------------------------------------...

No, you don't have to download this iso. Please read the manual and
download some Japanese TTF fonts from the web. That's all.

Hi Irihapeti , You are welcome. By the way, I checked your pet package repository, are they suitable for Puppy Linux 4.00? I am especially interested in "scim-pinyin-0.5.91-i486.pet". I just uploaded 3 pet packages for Chinese environment but this one is missing. This one is very popular i...

Hi Irihapeti,

The Japanese Puppy team had successfully installed scim-canna to 4.00.
The pet package was made by the Forum member himajin. Why don't you
send him a PM? Yes, additional libraries were needed.

Re: Pet packages for Chinese localization for Puppy Linux 4.

Hi nyu, First of all, thank you for making these Chinese pet packages. I would be even more grateful if you could just go ahead and make the scim-pinyin package because I will need it. Scim-pinyin is the only Chinese input method that I'm familiar with, and I have tried the ubuntu package, but it d...

Check out the Chinese localization package I made. http://puppy.cnbits.com/sites/default/files/chinese_pack-0.6.pet It is nice. You are using fcitx as your Chinese input method. I am using scim. fcitx is smaller in size and is very popular in PRC. My set up is more suitable for both PRC and Taiwan.

hi nyu, The Chinese localization and SCIM input packages work well on my Puppy, except I didn't find the scim-pinyin in the SCIM tray. Since I'm the smart pinyin user I searched for scim-pinyin from web, and this may be useful: http://packages.ubuntu.com/zh-cn/hardy/i386/scim-pinyin/download thank ...

Hi Aitch,

Thanks for pointing me the location. Now I got it. But we didn't put this "didiwiki" to the
Menu. This is the direct translation from Puppy Linux 4.00's English version. If there
is some problem regarding this program, I think you should ask Barry.
