I don't have any specific pdf:s for test. My eyes just like subpixel rendering better than grayscale antialiasing (on an lcd - which is what I have). Even if the subpixel rendering on 4.1.2 isn't perfect it's acceptable (at least for me). I have spent the last week trying to patch poppler-0.6.1 and ...

Pdf viewing with subpixel rendering
I'm using 4.1.2 and am trying to get subpixel rendering when viewing pdf:s. Is the above pet:s patched for subpixel rendering and if so what pet:s work with 4.1.2 (I would prefer to get subpixel rendering with epdfview if possible). My ~/.Xresources: Xft.dpi: 96 Xft.antialias: true Xft.rgba: rgb Xft...

ipsec-tools
I needed to setup a VPN connection to a Draytek router (Vigor 2910) and as I couldn't get PPTP to work I tried IPSec. After a lot of Googling and testing I finally got ipsec-tools working. I post it in three parts: ipsec-tools (setkey racoon racoonctl) - for setting up IPSec and exchanging keys. ips...

Patch making 4.1.2 init find pcmcia compact flash in initrd
The following patch if applied to init in initrd.gz configures the pcmcia sockets just as pcmcia-socket-startup normally does later when the system comes up fully. A downside of this is that changes in /etc/pcmcia/config.opts are ignored as the configuration is hardcoded in the function pcmcia_socke...

Fix for vi editor (e3vi) in 4.1.2
I have fixed a bug in e3 that makes it beep at every command when using the vi mode. It was just an assignment to the wrong register (mov ebx,'CMD ' instead of mov eax,'CMD '.

gxine spins up cd
Hi
When I play a movie from usb with gxine the cd spins up (the cd is only used to boot - normally it's silent after that except for gxine...).
Is there any setting/fix for this???

I have been using the openchrome driver on my HP 2133 and have experienced some problems with b43 and gxine. When I found this thread: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/331952 I thought I would try and compile the latest svn and apply the patch: http://www.openchrome.org/trac/atta...
