Hi Guys, Im playing with Upup Raring 3.8.7 and Im trying to install gnome-shell using PPM. Seems to download all needed dependencies and all but I cant seem to make it work correctly. Why puppy does not seem to stand up? No idea...Puppy works for me...although there seems to be less apps in the PPM compared to the other Distro's Package manager the forum serves this purpose... It really tells that Puppy is a community driven Distro...If your not much of a reader or forum searcher...

ei keanen...you dont need to extract the sfs into the filesystem... you just need to put it in the /mnt/home directory and load it using the boot manager so that it wont use any space from your personal storage...if the small python from techno dont work for you try mine in the same link... puppyiso...

hi 8-bit... tnx for downloading...please inform me for any problems in my package... sorry about the size of the package...its quite big about 17mb+ compared to technos 3-6mb packages with pygtk and other goodies... I didn't do any stripping because I don't know a safe way to strip unnecessary files...

hi everyone... out of curiosity and laziness to investigate myself I've got to ask this... have you notice during boot up the message: copying pup-431.sfs to RAM... .... .... loading swap at sda1... .... .... or something like that..... does this mean that the pup-431.sfs is copied in the RAM before...
