I just compiled dwm (tiling window manager) from source in the latest Slacko 6.0 beta (5.9.3). It works fine except the setting for single tap/left click that I made in JWM isn't remembered.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this please?

Alpha seems to work pretty well for me, just two things I noticed straight away... How was Slacko installed to the USB drive? Be specific with the details. What type drive? USB Flash drive, hard drive, etc...? In this instance it was burned with 'Imagewriter', a standard Mint 13 accessory but the same problem (on 5.6.x Slacko beta) was with an ISO burned from XP using unetbootin....

Not sure whether this is only relevant to the latest Slacko RC or in other Puppys but the rebuild menus option only takes effect (or rather, only shows up immediately) if I restart jwm.

This replacement of line 74 in /usr/sbin/logout_gui fixes it:
