A pupsave on an internal HDD works faster than a pupsave on a Flash Drive . So I use a HDD pupsave in preference, but alter a config in a file on the ISO used to make the live CD... So that it treats the HDD pupsave as though it is a Flash Drive pupsave... So I can configure it to NEVER auto-save d...

Knowing that most software, and os's,seem to work best with faster hdd spindle speeds. I believe that a machine utilizing Puppy, reaps little benefit, from high spindle speeds, after boot. Correct me if I am wrong, but, Running in RAM, seems to preclude the need for any hdd, so a slower speed drive ...

Oh... sorry... No... Just download the .pet, save it to disk.
Then put it onto a flash drive, and put that flash drive into your Puppy machine. Mount [open] the flash drive with puppy drive mounter. Click on the .pet and puppy will do the install for you!

There are versions of Puppy with Oo onto it I believe...
Out of curiosity, How would one get puppy if you don't have internet?? Or do you simply Not have Net capabilities on that particular box?
