It's likely that you didn't change all the fonts to your unicode font in .jwmrc. Search for "Font" in .jwmrc and make sure to replace every font with the new one... If it doesn't work, check the theme files for "Font" and replace everything there too (IIRC the theme file are some...

I've used Ubuntu to compile JWM with fribidi, it added ~1KB to the file... This is the list of the old compiled options: icons png shape xft xinerama xpm xrender And the new ones: confirm fribidi icons png shape xft xinerama xpm xrender As you can see, more features and a tiny size increment (Barry,...

Actually, this feature IS implemented. From JWM's 1.5 changelog: # Support for right-to-left text using FriBidi. But 1.5 has a problem, so in 1.6's changelog you have: # Fixed FriBidi UTF conversion. Meaning JWM 1.7 does handle RTL texts, all you have to do is compile JWM with libfribidi... I'm not ...

Seems the bg colour can't be modified... Maybe next version? Actually, the blue background color signifies that your current memory levels are normal. It's blue for normal (>=20M), puprle for low (<20M), and flashing reds for critical (<3M). I hope this stuff will be explaind in a future help docum...

So, I created a script, /usr/sbin/calcfreespace.sh, that performs a more accurate calculation and modified Lior's program to execute that. You get "None" because you don't have calcfreespace.sh... actually, I don't have it either :D You have three option: 1) Use the old freememapplet, 2) ...

Why don't you change blinky's background to the PuppyXP tray color? Somthing like:

Code: Select all

blinky -bg "#3A82F8"

I didn't make a dotpup because freememapplet will be available (I hope :P) in the official Puppy2, hence, you can't install it easily as other programs, and it won't show up in the menu. It shouldn't be in the menu anyway, because it is a tray app. Detailed installation insctructions might be: 1) Do...

hmmm, I suppose changing /root/.jwmrc-tray is sufficient. About your experience, I believe you forgot something... Two quick questions: a) Are you running Puppy2? b) Have you changed the name too? it should look like this: <Swallow name="freememapplet"> freememapplet </Swallow>

Introducing: The all new freememapplet v1.0!

I've promised to check out wmpupmem and see if I could fix it. Well, here are the results: freememapplet v1.0 (*) Complete rewrite, absolutely no code has been copied and pasted (hence the new name) (*) Gtk1 instead of Xlib. This fixes the problem with JWM swallowing the app... (*) Tooltips (*) Enha...

JWM has the option to run a program when the clock is clicked since v0.17. I'm pretty sure Puppy 1.0.7 has a greater version, hence it should work. Two things I can think of, try typing: "which miniXcal" at console, if it doesn't output anything it means you didn't copy miniXcal to the rig...

miniXcal - a little companion for the clock

I wrote a little program (7KB), which I call miniXcal that will satisfy the immediate need for a simple calendar. Through .jwmrc you can set a program to be executed when the clock is being clicked, this is where miniXcal fits. miniXcal will be shown at the current mouse location, on top of all othe...
