temporary solution

one solution that seems to work for me is to replace
"bootsplash stop" with "killall pebble-daemon"

dont know if there are any side-effects though.

4.10 full HD freeze

Hi guys, i'm booting puppt linux 4.1 from hard drive. changing rc.sysinit script

I made some changes to the file
/etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit script, (added some echo messages) but those changes are not reflecting on bootup.

Is this file copied from somewhere else during bootup ?

Thank you all for the help. I commented the portion which calls "exec xwin" in .xinitrc and replaced with Xvesa & ./my_application and its working as required. I don't want to load a window manager as i want my application to work in full screen like a gadget... and not like a window. ...
