Thanks again.........would never have found that!
The wallpapers were very attractive and scenic but I like a less cluttered background so I imported one.
....should I ask about using Dropbox?

It is good to see the continued interest in the eeePC and the iso you have assembled for it. It looks and feels good, seems to handle everything OK. I'm having touchpad problems and need to 'right click' or Enter to activate but I seem to remember there is a Puppy way to adjust the touchpad. Can't f...

It doesn't appear to be solely a scrolling issue because the jumping occurs as I type each letter. In fact, it continues when a web page is loading and goes mad when a video is running. When I pause while writing this the screen continues to blink almost in time with the 'roll-eyes' emoticon action....

Having difficulty using Saluki21 on an eeePC701
Trying to run Saluki21 on an eeepc701 but both Midori and Firefox 'jump' too much to be usable.
Is this a problem that can be sorted or is my 512RAM netbook just too old and small?

Selecting them in rox and delete them. Thanks Beem, but when I go into Rox filer I don't find the files I want to delete. I usually download an .iso and work from that live CD, saving to a pupsave for that version. When another interesting selection is offered I may try that with a 'new' pupsave. I...

Easy way to remove 'too many' pupsave files!
I have gathered quite a collection of pupsave personal files because i like to try the many pup versions on offer. It doesn't matter much but the collection will only get larger if I don't start removing some.
What do other people do? Is there a quick and easy way to remove unwanted pupsaves?

Thanks Jim1911, did as you indicated and it all went the way you suggested. I now have Puppy on sdb1 and it is running fast and well. It is found by Grub and so are all the other needed systems. This PC is much more pleasant to use with Puppy installed. Thanks again and I am very pleased with the re...

No, no, no...definitely not MIA! Just a victim of some 'internet-provider' problems. We live in a remote area and service, while usually excellent, is, at the moment, tentative. I have replied 3 times but the dispatch failed to get through. I only hope it works this time. Don't give up on me ...

Gparted doesn't see Ubuntu partition on Windows HDD (Solved)
I have 2 IDE hard drives on a PC. The first runs Windows 98 and dual boots an early version of Ubuntu. I liked Ubuntu, so when Hardy 8.04 came out i bought a second drive, 160GB, to accommodate it and any subsequent updates. The Windows/Ubuntu drive, the initial drive, is 10GB. I thought it would be...

I was able to connect using the info in this thread. I have a different phone but this may get you going in the right direction. I have used the detail I found here to hook up to 3's 3G in the UK and also to Telstra's 3G in Australia. The phone is 'unlocked' of course. http://www.murga-linux.com/pup...

A Question About 'Wireless' on the New Puppy 4.2.1
It works but It looks like i have to 'configure' it every time, even to the extent that I have to enter the WEP key every time. This is in Puppy 4.2.1, it wasn't so bad in 4.2 . I don't mind that it doesn't load on 'boot-up' but I don't feel that I should have enter the encryption key every time. Ha...
