I don't know about the video driver idea, it was displaying fine until the package install.

I'm not sure but I don't think I want to insert a soundblaster module.

Here's my lsmod, showing all the alsa modules now inserted. Funny thing is now there are a couple OSS modules also, there were none before I ran alsaconfig.

I'm running 1.0.7 on HD install. My ALS4000 card was not set up by the standard install, so I installed ALSA per the forum guidelines. Alsa-config recognized the card, but I get no sound from it.

Any ideas on what to do next?
