Re: minimum font size fix anyone

From googling many people find some of the text font in google chrome too small. I could not find a solution like the no squint extension for firefox (or just setting a minimum font size that cannot be overidden by web pages). There is a windows exe that add zooming pages to chrome. I am in denial ...

No new releases available

Sorry to disappoint you guys, but I don't work on pups any more. I made some further versions of DeltaPup but they contain a lot of private data since they were not intended for public release. I'm not even sure if I remember how to prepare a release, as I was not using the scripts but was remasteri...

hi trio, one question on a little enhancement: wouldn't it be useful to also setup the general governor to use? - powersave (always lowest freq) - ondemand (on demand jump to highest freq) - performance (always highest freq) - conservative (on demand alter the freq in steps) - userspace (usersetup ...

Thanks, I downloaded, ran it, it wouldn't let me save on exit. I got a black screen. Three times. Also had to use Xvesa. Installed MU's nvidia-180.44-K2.6.28.5.pet, restarted, and it worked with no hassles, and would save. Using: Compaq Presario F750 laptop -1GB ram -1900 MHz Processor -NVIDIA GeFo...

Re: Help with some minor tweaks?

I've enjoyed playing with DeltaPup and have installed directly to my hard drive. I've noticed that when I insert a USB memory stick/drive, it doesn't seem to auto mount nor does an icon show up for me to easily access the USB device. What do I do so that it is automatically mounted and shows an ico...

Try Deltapup and/or Slaxer Pup, one of those should be more adaptable to your hardware. However, if neither works then try Muppy Pup. Are those distros different from original Puppy? Just would like to be in the 'mainstream' DeltaPup has a newer and very capable kernel. Likewise slaxer pup is built...

Is there a generic battery charge reader or some such. Most of the time there has simply been a something already installed.

Right click on a blank area of the bottom panel (taskbar) and select "Add New Item" from the popup. Then pick "Battery Monitor".

Yep, locked up Firefox, but I was able to kill it and then restart Firefox. In fact, I'm using it now. So one minus point and one plus point --- I'm back at zero.

Re: DeltaPup

Have DeltaPup running on new Acer D150 10 inch netbook, boot from USB flash drive. Very nice... Used ndiswrapper to install the Broadcom (watch out, D150 can be Broadcom, Atheros, or Intel wifi...) drivers from the XP hard drive delivered with the netbook. It connects to my secure WPA2 TKIP wireles...
