Re: Wifi
Booting from the Live CD and using the Network Wizard I can scan for, find, and connect to my wireless network using WEP. I did a frugal install to a USB drive using the Puppy Universal Installer, and Puppy boots fine, but Scan fails to find my network. I have read through the forums and I have see...

Lenovo 3000 N200
Maybe I should try. My Lenovo has 3 gigs of ram so I guess it has to be rather fast running Puppy.
For the moment I have Ubuntu 8.10 installed. Nice distro, but some trouble due to hibernating. Maybe this will work in Puppy?

No WEP key from command line
I try to set up wlan from command line:
setting essid - ok
setting "key open" value gives error: "Error for wireless request "Set Encode" (882A):
SET failed on device ath0; Invalid argument"
So it is'n possible to add the WEP key, and there is no connection.

It doesn't work, though i put in the WEP code it doesn't connect to the wlan. With Linpus there is no wifi trouble so i don't know what I maybe do wrong. cable lan works ok in Puppy, the same does GPRS with my Nokia 6680. The sum is that I am very pleased with Puppy - looks very promising. Guess tha...
