Working link for downloading 4.32v3 Updated with glibc 2.10?

Hi, Does anybody know where I can find and download the latest version of Puppy 4.32v3? I assume it is what darry1966 prepared, called "4.32v3 Updated with glibc 2.10", but sadly enough darry1966 link does not work any more. I wonder if sindi also managed to combine the Plus and Updated ve...

I like Puppy 4.3.2

I do like Puppy 4.3.2! And I certainly am last person on earth who can blame ttuuxxx, and on the contrary I have to thank him and the other guys working for the improvement of this magic tiny distro. What I am criticizing is the lack of organisation and cooperation within the community, because we c...

4.3.2 is dead

I think the distro-that-was-never-born 4.3.2 is dead, while Barry already replaced it with Wary Puppy 5 (now updated to 5.1.1)

If you have no windows operating systems, why do you not want to use Linux formatting on the hard drive? It is much better to use ext2, 3, or 4 with a Linux system. Puppy works on any format, but best on Linux format. NTFS is not 100% supported due to Microsofts keep it secret attitude. Ext 4 is st...

I do not think it would it be necessary to install Grub4Dos, because the computer that is going to boot from the external HDD has no Window$ Operating System. On the contrary, GRUB4DOS is exactly what you must use to boot off a USB device that is formatted as NTFS. Your other choices for a bootload...

(Multi)boot Puppy from external NTFS USB HDD?

1) Giving the fact it is possible to install Puppy on an U.S.B. flash drive (http://puppylinux.org/wikka/InstallationFrugal) and that, in a different case, for installing Fluppy 006 (for instance) one has to decompress its zip file and copy the contents to a FAT or Ext2/3/4 formatted USB drive (http...

Re: page

Why not create the page you wish to add and I will happily add it? Sadly enough I do not have the skills for doing it (I am just a final user), but I was thinking of something like a Puppy-Portal, both for external and internal purposes. External for attracting more users and internal for being of ...

great websites are needed for crappy products

[and vice versa?]
Maybe, but Puppy is so great that deserves to be used by a much wider number of people, and a user-friendly captivating web portal would be a plus.

Rewriting http://puppylinux.com?

Hi, This is just a suggestion, not aimed at bettering Puppy OS, but with the goal of making PuppyLinux more visible, with most of its releases. Weeks ago I checked Mint site. Not only I liked it from the aesthetic point of view, but I also thought it was functional, with the 5 boxes at the top showi...

Sad to hear it, Iguleder. I do not like LuPu... maybe I can try Quirky...

Thanks a lot for your efforts, anyhow

How come I installed a .deb package in Puppy 4.3.1?

I was just kidding around with Softmaker deb package, I clicked on it and puppy installed it!!! And it works fine!

I know LuPu is compatible with Ubuntu, In the past (3.x) there was a interoperability with slax software, but I had never heard of deb packages in Puppy!

Can anybody explain me this?

I downloaded the trial version and WOW! Fast, nice, much better than any other Office programme I have tried so far (including MS 2003 and 2007, OO 3.x and of course KOffice and the mediocre Abiword)
