SATA hard disks
The DELL Inspiron 530 has all SATA drive connections and works wonderfully with PUP3.01. I have 2GB DDR2 and no swap drive; it is not necessary.

I then have to redo all my settings or do a reboot with pfix=1 which restores my settings but loses my latest saved data.
Same happened in Pup2.14.

Thx.

How do you Puppy2?
Gorgeous pictures, Mark--just beautiful !! BTW, I remember seeing your post about a Windows file manager by Christian Ghisler called TotalCommander. Do you know if there is anything like it in Linux ? That is quite some package. Sure would be nice in Puppy Linux--that might bring in a lot of converts.

How do you Puppy2?
USB keyboard is not recognized in 200. I used a CD-RW which I normally do for a new version. Also not recognized in 109CE, but I may have a bad burn. I used KIIIB for iso burn but cannot remember if it showed multisession(open). 108r1 was very good. It saw keyboard, mouse, and legacy SB AWE32 card--...

Long delay at startup
Is there a puppyusbdetect as well in v200 ?
My USB keyboard has never been detected since I started using v107; it always required the borrowing of a serial kbd (does not sit well with others) followed by a fix to sysinit.

ATI All-in-Wonder RageII+ missing TV in MPlayer
Have ATI All-in-Wonder RageII+ card. It plays and records TV well in Win98, using NTSC canada-cable. Have added Mark's MPlayer to Puppy107. Radio3 plays well; AVI video and audio files play well, although video is blue-tinged. But I cannot get TV. When MPlayer starts, it gives "Error! seek fail...

SOLVED: USBkbd & sound settings not saved
My problem was PS2 mouse + USB keyboard booting from hard disk produced no keyboard for Puppy after the first boot so that I had to delete PUP1 before subsequent boots thus losing all my previous settings and data. I found that my best combination is an USB mouse and USB keyboard which always boots ...

USBkbd & sound settings not saved
Running from hard drive.
All runs well in Win98 and Puppy107 on first session.
The screen and ethernet settings appear to be OK when I second boot but the other 2 are lost.
.....not sure if this got through the last time--no msg on reload.

Puppy107 Settings all OK on first boot session.
Next boot loses USB keyboard and modprobe sb settings.
I have to delete PUP1 and reset all over--bummer!
Any switches to retain settings?
Thanks for reply.
