update IM question

While I still can't figure out how to get pidgin to work in boxpup, I've tried ayttm, and it works. I used the pet from the petGet installation.

I still prefer pidgin however, so if anyone has it working I'd love to know how.

thanks

pidgin not working

Boxpup is beautiful and easy to use, I like it a lot - but I'm having one problem.

I downloaded and installed ttuuxxx's pidgin pet, which I've used on 3 or 4 pups already.

It seg faults on boxpup.

Has anyone seen this?

Does anyone have a work around?

Thanks in advance

Just an update - the same thing happens when I boot from a live CD - that is Puppy doesn't find my wireless adapter - and eth0 is my ethernet, and there are no wireless extensions for either eth0 or lo.

I'm very confused.

thanks for any assistance

Can connect wirelessly when emulating, can't when booting

I've looked through the forums all day and can't find a similar problem (that doesn't mean there is no such thread - only that I really did try to find it with no success), so here goes: I have a sony vaio ar 690 laptop with an internal wireless adapter. If I run puppy 4.0 through an emulator, it fi...
