My goodness, Limbomusic...you are one of a kind, aren't you? I read your Tullekopp blog with much interest and even more laughter, thank you..  I used to look amazingly slim and elegant in tracky dakies and sneakers as you do, but not quite so elegant any more...i think they don't make tra...

VPN Book

Hi April, are you obliged to donate before you can download?
Not to be a scrooge, but donating, by definition, is voluntary, which is the principle of the thing, and i know ppl who don't do paypal or bitcoin...just curious, i'd like to know.

Thanks...cheers :)

Not sure if Australians have organ donor programs. If you die, the useful organs are used to save the life of others. Not sure how useful really old wrinkly body parts are. However! Medical students always need bodies.  Just think of yourself as a bigger frog, helping to advance ...

Worked for me with W10 pre-release eval copy. W10 does not seem to add any new benefits or restrictions via EFI bootloader. Newer hardware and W10 are attempting to lockout at the CPU level. IE win10 will only work on newer CPUs once people start to buy them. If, people buy CPU locked Windows 10 is...

UEFI on Win10..?

Seems like a brilliant innovation, although i haven't tested it yet. This 17" mac desktop i'm posting from was completely puppified a few years ago, using rEFInd. I also have a mac which i partitioned with rEFInd to boot either Puppy or OSX.....haven't used Window$ myself since 2007....oh, happ...

LICK should be the simple solution - people reported success on Windows 10 machines with it. Or is there some Windows 10 hardware that doesn't use the "safe boot"? http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=462721#462721 Cheers, Disciple ...i'd forgotten about LICK....was going to l...

Thread here by foxh0und on the subject, too..

I'm all for it, and hopefully there are some clever coders who can find a smart way around the UEFI bollocks, so users can choose what they wish to do with their own PCs..

Yes, i agree that such truly free and open-source hardware is a good thing...it's price-prohibitive for me atm though, especially with shipping costs from the US. However, like the first 'personal computers', they may have been out of reach of the average Jack'n'Jill in the beginning, but growing aw...

I'm rather wary of WordPress and other CMS applications....a few years ago now, i had a WP blog running on my server, (for my sister and her friend, who were travelling in Asia), and that site was compromised via PHP. I backed up their data and deleted the site, not bothering the girls as they were ...
