No Wireless Connection..

Hi Clino, Sorry i can't be of any assistance to you but i understand your frustration - i also am having no success connecting wirelessly to my network, although Puppy detects the hardware without a problem. Like you, i've managed to connect easily with Ubuntu (8.04 Hardy + a live DVD of Ultimate Ed...

Re: Full install on external USB hdd..

Thanx for all this, erikson... I'm pretty much a noob to Linux in general and have no understanding of any OS programming code, so it'll take me a while to assimilate all the info you've kindly provided here and be able to use it, actually knowing what i'm doing :? Re: info-sniffing

Good point there, shroomy_bee. Who are we to discourage their learning about the big wide world around us and clamp a lid on their natural curiosity? Safety considerations or commonsense limits, such as no chewing-gum, are fair enough. I think most domestic pets already make enough of a concession ...

To frugal or not to frugal..

Hi Che, I'm currently a Puppy-in-house-training, so i could be barking around the wrong hydrant, but from what i've read/learned from these forums and the links referenced within, it seems to me that, with your specs, a frugal install would more likely be your better option, especially as you're pla...
