Commands on Wakeup
Hi, I use Gnome with puppy and i often close the lid on my laptop to make it go to sleep. It wakes up fine, but i need to reconnect my wifi and everything every time I wake it back up. Currently, I have it set so that wifi works automatically because of rc.local on boot up. Can I do something simila...

Hi Pizzasgood, I too tried this with Puppy 4.1. I can confirm that this only happens with pebble. Unfortunately, your modified version did not work as well... it hung at the boot screen. Good luck, and thanks for this great program! Edit: Nevermind, the shutdown problem was my fault. The boot proble...

I apologize for bumping so soon before. I was not aware that vmlinuz differed by version and I was able to install puppy 4.1.1 just fine. Now wireless works as well, except Pwireless does not seem to save my wireless config. (It does not appear in the load config tab but makes a file in /root/.confi...

Thank you for your response, Béèm. Strangely, I was not able to get pup_411.sfs to work. I normally boot with a USB as I do not have CDs, so I simply replaced my pup_400.sfs with pup_411.sfs and my initrd.gz with the puppy 4.1.1 initrd.gz. Every time I would try to boot, it would say that it cannot ...

Eth0 Down?
Hi guys, I use Puppy 4.0 as a base for a personal remaster and I am having lots of trouble with my wireless. It used to use the bcm43xx driver in puppy 3.1 but now it does not work. Network wizard lists it but ifiwconfig eth0 up fails and as a result the wireless fails. Any help in getting this to w...

Wireless worked before upgrade
Hello, I have a bit of a problem. I used to use puppy 301 and wireless used to work great. It used to be identified as eth0. However, I recently upgraded to Puppy 410 with Gnome installed as well. When I go to the network wizard i see eth0, which has now become a wired interface and a brand new wlan...

Remastering an Sfs
Sorry to ask such a question :( I'm trying to remaster a puplet I found by editing the sfs file. To do this, I mount the puplet's sfs file, copy the mounted contents onto my ntfs harddrive (as I have no room live), edit it, and use mksquashfs to the folder. However, when I am booting up, using this ...

My apologies for being unclear... I have tried with the correct PET package. I suspect there *may* be a problem with my xOrg as I am using a wNOP.2 puplet and there are many xorg.conf file backups in the folder... I looked in xorg.conf (the normal one) and saw that GLcore wasnt a loaded module. I fi...

Re: foo2zjs etc. printer drivers
OK, here it is compiled. I stuffed around a bit before getting them below 1MB, so hopefully I haven't misplaced anything. I think it should work if you just extract these to /, restart CUPS, install the printer, and put this in one of Puppy's startup scripts (obviously with the correct device, rath...

Hmm yes ... I did. I am using wNOP. However, upon trying some things, I am beginning to think that the wine PET i downloaded simply didn't have OpenGL compiled with it. I tried many different versions including Wine 1.0r3 and Wine 1.1.1, both of which are recommended to run my game. But, a curious t...
