Sorry I haven't posted in awhile or offered any news or updates. I've been a bit busy with life and haven't had time to work on Pup2p-3. A few things I'm looking for (would help me get to Pup2p-3 sooner) is .PET packages for the following software: Truecrypt 6.2a Latest Tor and Privoxy Any Tor relat...

No, it's not appearing in the menu. The .desktop file should have: [Desktop Entry] Encoding=UTF-8 Name=InstantBird Messenger Icon=/usr/local/lib/X11/mini-icons/mozicon128.png Comment=InstantBird Messenger Exec=/usr/bin/instantbird Terminal=false Type=Application Categories=X-Internet GenericName=In...

Found InstantBird today, it worked so I packaged it up. http://www.instantbird.com/ I don't know if the menu entry is working right but you can navigate to /usr/bin and drag and drop the instantbird link to the desktop to create a shortcut there. the icon is ...

Ezpup is a version of Icewm that Whodo made, 4.2.1 has ICEWM already included, why would you want to install this? The best thing to do is uninstall it, then click menu/shutdown and click the advance tab, now click 'switch to icewm' and 2 seconds later you'll have icewm if you wanted some of the th...

Tried 4.0v5 and don't get what I expected. It is unusable.
Some details:
* Puppy barebones 4.2.1 modded to suit my needs
* Official Nvidia drivers installed
* Full DRI xorg installed
* Screenshot below

So how would I fix this?

Re: Some extra ideas for Pup2p
My wishlist: Perhaps freenet could be added too (the big advantage of freenet is the distributed storage of files, which makes censorship-sensitive publications near indestructible even if the original source is taken away) Another nice addition could be a PSIP or other softphone with Phil Zimmerma...

Is there a way to make windows in Pidgin blink?
It bugs the holy crap out of me that the pidgin windows (I hang out in IRC a lot) don't blink in Puppy.
Is there a way to fix this?

Re: dl PET ?
EDIT: Added a mimetype for .pet on my hosting account. This may clear up the issue. Please confirm. Hi Noname, Using livecd 4.2.1 It is the dl that shows only page with symbols. Using the pet no problem if at last I get the Pet. I'd have to look into it but I see no reason for it to act that way. L...

Re: dl PET ?
Dl iso should work: gives prompt "save to disk" but the pet gives me page with only symbols. Tried also Opera. Just clicked on the link ? The .pet is a Puppy Linux package. You have to make sure you are on Puppy Linux to use that. If you are on puppy and it does what you say, what version...

Re: downloading Pet ???
The ISO? What browser are you trying to download with? What's the exact URL of the download with symbols?nancy reagan wrote:When I try to dl the pet I only get symbols not a file.
I ask because the ISO and .PET download fine for me on Firefox. Just tried it.
