Here is a little more info regarding the Easy Buster 2.1.3 'Boot to Black Screen' problem described above. On initial attempts, in the boot process, I pressed 'Enter' to select a US keyboard. I then re-installed Easy 2.1.3 to the USB stick, and during boot entered '44' to select a US keyboard. In bo...

Barry K wrote Choose the boot option to bootup to commandline only, no X, then run "xorgwizard". You should get various choices. You should be able to try 'intel' and 'modesetting', worst case, 'vesa'. Hopefully one of those will work. Booting to the CLI as you suggested, I entered 'xorgw...

I am having difficulty booting (from USB stick) Buster 2.1.3 (had the same problem with 2.1.1). The boot-up messages and Easy icon are present, but give way to a black screen with a cursor that is movable with the mouse for about 20-30 seconds, but after that time the cursor is frozen in place. None...

Hey smokey01,

That is great info.

Such a wide selection.

One of the 48x48 icons was exactly the right size.

Thank you!

I have downloaded Thunderbird60.0 from mozilla and created a package for Fatdog64-721 which installed without problem I used a thunderbird.desktop file from an earlier version, setup run-as-spot, created /usr/bin symlink, etc, and everything seems to be working OK when clicking on 'thunderbird.deskt...

@dr. dan, Thank you for your prompt, informative and useful reply to my misadventure! I have zero knowledge and experience with screen, display organization and ROX-Filer/PuppyPin, so this was a good learning opportunity for me. Have you backed up your savefile? That's first! Other than changed wall...

My Fatdog64_710_final, running from a HD, has been stable for months, but today something crazy happened to the desktop. The boot process seems normal, but instead of the usual olive-green Fatdog64-700.jpg wallpaper, the background is white. Most of the icons are missing except for the drive icons i...

A couple of questions:

1) Does XenialDog64 allow browsing as a non-root user, such as spot in Puppy Linux or Fatdog64?

2) Does XenialDog64 boot in 'legacy' or UEFI mode?

Thank you.
