have you tried the tightvnc pet package listed in the first message of this thread? It comes with the lib file need to run it.

After installing the x11vnc_server-0.9.4B.pet my computer forgot who it was.
The hostname disappeared and when queried comes up with this:

ok, thanks xfred. sorry, got up on the wrong side this morning, didn't mean to be mean. :oops: I tried a couple of solutions i found searching the forums like adding certain lines to rc.local but that didnt work. It boots just fine with no mouse and keyboard by disabling the probing for them at boot...

how can I boot Puppy 4.0 without a monitor?
I want to run my puppy 4.0 system no keyboard no monitor no mouse and vnc to it. i use it to crunch seti so i dont need the whole hardware setup. I did make a mistake not putting the "&" after the line for boinc, fixed that.
the script provided looks good, will give a go.
