Have I missed something? Has everyone given up on supporting RasberryPi with a newer version of Puppy? When Barry was so excited about it a couple of years ago I ran out and bought two of them. I am using one as a media center. The other I would like to use with a version of Puppy that supports a fl...

The pc I would like to use is an old Dell Inspiron 2100 with 128mb ram, a Pentium 3 at 696.96mhz. It can't handle Firefox or Chrome and Pandora doesn't like any of the other Puppy browsers I have tried. Pandora says it requires an Intel Atom 1.6GHZ or faster and 1+GB ram, and 128+mbVRAM. That's why ...

Thanks for the tips! I am now running pianobar and it works fine, for me that is. It has been playing without any problems for two hours. My wife is not too happy with the console screen, she prefers the look that pandora has on Windows. My iPod touch also works great, but she still prefers the larg...

pithos in puppy
Hey KBD, With so many members looking at your post, I am disappointed that no one had an answer re installing Pithos. Pandora is gaining in popularity and it would be nice to see one of the more knowledgeable members take a whack at it. I was using a Livio-Pandora radio for the past three years and ...

Can someone help me to get a map installed in navit? I installed navit using Muggin's pet package. It seems to have installed OK. Next I went to the navit wiki and downloaded an openstreet map of about 162 M. I have tried about every way I can to get the map into navit with no luck. I downloaded it ...

Thank you for the prompt reply. Sorry for confusing you by my reference to CUPS 1.3.1.0. I meant 1.3.10. I haven't had a chance to apply your suggestions yet, but hope to get to it today. To recap: I have three laptops that had Puppy 4.2.1, cups 1.3.10, and cups print driver Canon mp620-630 series v...

Puppy 5.1.1 with Canon mp620 printer (""SOLVED")
SOLVED!! I just installed Puppy 5.1.1. It has cups 1.4.3. Last year I could not get my Canon mp620 wireless printer working with Puppy 4.31.1. It was working ok on Puppy 4.2.1 after Muggins prepared a pet for me, mp_ptr_620-i486pet, to get to work on 4.2.1 . When I next found it would not work with ...

4.31.1 won't power off
I have Puppy 4.31.1 frugal on a laptop. On Shutdown>Power-off computer, puppy closes down and after the saved messages, the last line says "System Halted". Then if I hit the power button, it powers off. This is an upgrade, a clean complete new installation. It replaced 4.21 that shut down ...

Thanks for all of that valuable info. Thanks for the kind words Patriot! Well, working with this cups problem, I found myself often talking to myself, saying Hmmmmmm! When I boot from the frugal install, cups v1.1.23 is installed and it will not print. I will play around with it and reinstall if necessary. I'll come back and tell you what I did. Sorr...

Cups v1.1.23 in Puppies 4.31.1
EDITED I just learned from Patriot that a Puppy pc connected to a router will publish, via cups, the installed printers. A second pc connected to that same router will see the printers from the other pc as installed when cups is opened on the second pc. So it appears that puppy automatically shares ...
