HP2133 problem

Live CD runs fine but no Wifi. I see from this forum that this is fixable so I thought to try that after I had installed to HP2133 HD. The install went fine I took all the recommended grub options. On reboot all I get is a grub prompt

What should I do to fix.

Further to my post of 1 October the same failing noted for 3.0Beta3 is found on the final 3.0 i.e. no xorg and no network retention. Have returned to 2.16 which is the only late puppy version to work with my HW

If it is any help I found that a DLINK DWL G122 C1 usb stick using WPA and using the RT73 software did not work with 2.17 but did work with 3.00Beta2 but again does not work with 3.00Beta3

Some observations between 2.16 2.17 3.00

I am using IBM Laptop i-1100 with 128MB RAM, 10GB HD, Celeron 600 2.16 Works fine using XORG and Linksys WPC54G network adapter 2.17 Works as 2.16 but WPC54G does not work after reboot, I have to reconnect via connect icon 3.00 Beta2 XORG does not work, XVESA does, WPC54G works as in 2.16, a DLINK D...

Installing to USB flash: Puppy sees wrong CD drive

I have downloaded puppy 2.15 and written iso to cd and booted from cd cd being on hda
I then tried to install to 512MB usb stick but failed as install wanted to read puppy cd from hdb which does not exist
Any ideas

Yes I obviously did.
Tried that yes it works but not in a practical way.
The boot loader asks me to choose one of the options but of course on a strange machine I might not know the sd?.
Is there any way to let the loader work it out for itself.

This may have already been answered but I cannot find it. Have puppy on usb stick no problem if only usb unit is the stick and so phome=sda1 works.
