Easy 1.0 Seamonkey files
Just now installed Easy 1.0 - looks good. Now, how do I get my old SeaMonkey files from my Quirky system? Files like bookmarks, passwords, various preferences and changes I had made using about:config? I had made copies of the Mozilla folder and everything in the file folder, which is now home. Same...

How I installed Bitcoin-QT Wallet in Quirky
First, I want to thank the members of the Puppy Linux Forum and others who provided the information I needed to perform this task. The Bitcoin-QT program uses the blockchain to validate transactions in your wallet. The blockchain holds all Bitcoin transactions and now (2014 08 14) is over 20GB. I de...

Years ago, I wrote a FORTH interpreter in JavaScript for learning and experimenting and hope to get back to developing it further when other duties allow.

MultisessionFlash I'd like to have an option to have file changes stored on the hard disk, not in RAM. And then, upon shutdown (and using the SAVE button), save the changes to USB flash memory in a manner similar to multi-session DVD. Furthermore, a utility to combine all the session saves into a si...

Slightly off topic, but may be a good option: I run LUPU511 from USB memory stick with lupusave on the USB. I turned off the periodic save; save on shutdown is good enough. But, ... PUP_424.SFS
I had a similar problem with PUP_424.SFS.
I copied the files in the iso file to my 2G USB SSD which already had PuppyBasic. Upon boot, couldn't find the pup-424.sfs file. I renamed the file on the SSD (using Windows, ugh) and re-booted fine. Using it now.

Voted Woof Woof. Staying with Puppy. Frequently look at the other small Linux distributions but nothing comes close to Puppy in terms of bugs and usability. Looking forward to an almost bug-free Puppy to package into my next PupWinQE release. As to the pissing contests, I just look the other way - h...

ALZip can extract ISO files. www.altools.net
To rename for lowercase in Windows, first rename with an additional word e.g. temp.PUP_404.SFS and then rename as desired. Windows doesn't diferentiate upper/lower case during rename.
