Update

I now seem to have this working fine. I don't know what I did other than I'm now using it as a live cd rather than a full install. I read somewhere that a live install can cause problems so maybe that was the reason?

I have a Pluscom USB wireless adapter with the same chip - ZD1211B - and have the same problem on my Acer Travelmate 312T. The module loads but Puppy still cannot detect a network interface. I tried the .pet from tempestuous but this didn't help either (not tried ndiswrapper - but dont want to as th...

I have an Acer travelmate laptop that has no built in drives and wont boot from USB.

Thanks for your reply Paul, I've not set up the Puppy Firewall and I am assuming it is not set by default. Please do let me know however, if this is not the case. As for the machine being in the allowed subnet - Well, I've set the machine to be assigned its IP address using DHCP so I assume everythi...

Puppy 4 can't connect thru Belkin wifi router / NAT firewall

I've just managed to get Puppy Linux 4.0 up and running on an old Satellite Pro 4600 laptop. I'm pretty pleased because its one of the few distros I tried that allowed me to run my Belkin Wireless G PCMCIA network card (F5D7010uk) out of the box. However, in order to conect to the internet, I have t...
