Pburn in AUR

Hi zigbert, thank you so much for the PBurn application.. It's my personal favourite. This package is now made into a AUR package.. So, now Arch Linux users can enjoy this too.. More info here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=930330#p930330 http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=48795

Redrawing icons, and restarting the xserver did not make any difference..

The udev daemon is running..:

Code: Select all

# ps | grep udev
  109 root 0:00 /sbin/udevd --daemon
 6582 root 0:00 grep udev
Still, I'm unable to mount usb drives/hd :-(

USB disks are not recognised

I'm using Puppy Linux 5.0.1 full hard disk installation.. Everything was working fine till a couple of days ago. Now I see that my USB hard disks or pen drives are not recognised by puppy.. Puppy used to recognise them, show icons for them when I connect them and mount them too till a couple of days...

I just installed Chromium and I see the same issue.. Firefox has all proper plugins installed for playing most video formats.. If I check the "about:plugins" page, it shows up gecko-mediaplayer-**.so plugins and the flash plugin. But in chromium, only the flash plugin is listed (when I vis...

I have reported the same to zigbert in the pwidgets thread..

I also saw that there was a newer version 2.3.0 (I was using 2.2.7). So, I upgraded the pwidgets. Let me run this for a day and see if this still causes huge log files

Hi zigbert, I had previously installed 2.2.7 version of pwidgets and ran into a problem. The /tmp/xerrs.log file would become very huge.. More details on that here: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=59819 Just now, I saw that you have 2.3.0 version of pwidgets. I have installed it now...

Thanks puppyluvr.. The file was /root/Startup/0_show_widgets I deleted this file and pwidgets won't autoload anymore.. But it would be nice if I can load pwdigets AND somehow not have such a big log.. Is there a way to disable conky from writing to xerrs.log? Or it would be even better if there was ...

pwidgets: huge /tmp/xerrs.log

Hi, I'm using Lucid Puppy 5.1.0 (full installation). The Pwidgets look great. So, I installed them and added a few widgets to my desktop. After a day or two, I saw huge decrease in the free space. The free space dropped by about 1.5GB. When I used gdmap to find out what took so much space, I saw tha...

How do I upgrade from 5.1.0 to 5.1.1?

Hello, I'm posting on these forums after a loong time. I am a fairly advanced linux user and use linux as my primary desktop (even at work) for the past 7-8 years. Still, of all the distros, I love puppy more than anything else. I have been using puppy for many years now (since some 2.x release, I g...
