I had two problems booting Puppy within VMware. One was that Puppy didn't seem to recognize VMware's SCSI disk. I had to use IDE.

The other was that I had to pass "acpi=off" to the kernal from the grub menu.

3) Pizzasgood: do you have any further information on your PET-Be-Gone working OK with Puppy 4? Especially removing SeaMonkey which I don't like (and Sylpheed since I use web mail).
