Hello,
I am compiling a few things on my ubuntu machine and i'd like to have it packaged as pet for using them on my puppy.
I was wondering if its possible to get the script for pet production w/o installing or using puppy (a tar.gz will be great)
many thanks

Puppy on the older eeepc (701SD 7014G)
Hello everyone, I was wondering if someone could prepare a .pet to be installed on the latest puppies in order to "have compatibility" with the older eeepc. I know that a few tweaks are needed: wifi drivers, hotkeys, and so on, in order to have a perfectly working puppy on eeepc. So, why n...

Nevermore, Where are you getting thunderbird from? I just downloaded 3.1Beta from the thunderbird website, extracted the package, and it runs fine. The fonts are very small, but I think there's a fix for that on the forum somewhere. Hello jemimah I use thunderbird 2 since the 3 has given me too man...

Nevermore, both Beep and Aqualung are gone in the latest version. The new version has Xfmedia and Goggles which are both Xine based. Also, try switching the window manager to Flwm for better behavior on big screens and in general. Where can I download a pls file from? Should be easy to fix the mime...

Im trying the new release and it works wonderfully, however... I have a nice big screen that i wish to use, has VGA and goes up to 1920x1200. When I connect to my 701 when running xorg i get a nice 1280x1024 maximum definition, but all the windows, including chrome, rvxt, etc are staying small. If I...

Nevermore, I will probably update chrome for the next version - I tested the latest a few weeks ago and it seemed ok. Would you mind testing the new version with a new save file? I want to know if anyone else besides dawnsboy is having a problem booting the celeron kernel on a 701. The only risk of...

Hello I would recommend to upgrade to the last version of chrome, the one that supports the addons. Since when i try to install the addons i get an error telling me that my version is too old and i should go for the beta. (or at least the favourite sync one). I tried to install skype, but was unable...

Re: Strange Backlight behaviour 701-4G
I have installed 3.5 on my 701 4G and have set the eeecontrol to allow for overclocking. I use XORG with 24 color depth. When I launch puppeee the display darkens in all cases I have then set eee-control backlight to 15. When I launch GXINE the display brightens fully. When I kill GXINE the display...

Nevermore, to change the save interval, go to System->Puppy Event Manager. Can you try deleting /root/.xlockrc and see if Xlock will start? What framerate do you get in Glxgears? Are you using Xorg or Xvesa? I get about 60FPS on my 701. Hello Jemimah I do not have /root/.xlockrc file so i cant remo...

Nevermore, the overclocking works on my 701. I've only ever crashed it that way once. Does yours crash? The only way to tell if it's overclocked or not is benchmarking. Hello unfortunately on mine the screen gets garbled when i try to turn on overclock... I tried many different options with no luck...
