I am also curious to know when and whether there'll be a new E-Pup based on either 3.01 or 4.0?

Bugs?? I'm not sure if these are bugs or whether they've been reported, but I'd like to note two things that I found. (1) When I right-click the Trash icon on the desktop to empty it, the confirmation dialog always goes behind windows that were already opened. I am referring to the focus of the conf...

Remastering a customized TigerPup

I've setup TigerPup 1.6 in my preferred way: eyecandy, theme, etc. I have tried to remaster it editing contents on /tmp/root and /tmp/etc hoping I could use the remaster as a backup and as a LiveCD to show friends and students how lean and mean Puppy Linux can be. On booting on a Frugal install, the...

Thank you for a well-documented Pebble. My Puppy had never looked better. It's just too bad there isn't an easier way to get a widescreen framebuffer.

Thank you for your hard work.

Can't wirelessly connect my Sony VAIO FZ=25 laptop

Hi. Inspite of following tempestuous' How to configure wifi from the commandline along with his/her Solving Wifi encryption problems (WEP/WPA) in Puppy 4 , I am still unable to set my wireless up. At the moment, I am using a wired eth0. I probably had an info-overload from the many technicalities ou...

Gnumeric: Formatting Cells on TigerPup

When I try to format a range of cells on Gnumeric, it just crashes. I have outlined the output of the crash on this post . The solution was easy enough. I made sure that Gnumeric finds the folder and files it was looking for. I created the folders: # mkdir -p /usr/local/Gnumeric-1.8.2/share/goffice/...

At the moment, I am more concerned with the subject of this thread and why Gnumeric crashes. Apparently, /usr/local/Gnumeric-1.8.2/share/goffice/0.6.2/ does not exist on my tree structure but have /usr/local/Gnumeric-1.8.2/share/gnumeric/1.8.2/glade instead. However, the above mentioned glade files ...

Sorry - I thought 2.15CE had openoffice. Are you saying you have a second problem, which is that Tigerpup doesn't open .xls or .ods, but 2.15CE does? I think .xls and .ods support are provided by plugins, so maybe Tigerpup doesn't include the gnumeric plugins. Yes, that is what I was trying to conv...

Is this with any .gnumeric file saved from .ods? Which version of Gnumeric? It would be good if you could either test with the latest Gnumeric, or send the offending spreadsheet to someone else so they can. If it is still a bug, it should definitely be reported. But - you've saved from .ods using o...

Gnumeric: Formatting Cells [SOLVED]

I'm not really sure if this is a bug or something else specific. But when I edit a .gnumeric file that I've saved from a .ods on 2.15 CE and tried to format a range of cells, Gnumeric just crash. I ran Gnumeric on sh and the following are the output of the crash: sh-3.00# gnumeric my-documents/Paper...

Is the file still in FileFront? For the last couple of days, I tried to download this pet but I keep getting an error message stating the download has failed because there were no available download servers. For two days??

Are there any mirrors grooming this pet?

Thanks for your attention.

USB mouse middle button on TigerPup Compiz-Fusion

I discovered that the third button on my USB mouse did not function on the Rotating Cube. To fix it, click on Settings --> CompizConfig Settings Manager (CCSM) to open CCSM. Navigate to the Category --> Desktop --> Viewport Switcher. At the bottom of the Desktop-based Viewport Switching, weh have: P...

Hello. I must say thank you to dinky (and company??) for an amazing TigerPup. Two thumbs up! I now have Frugal installs of wNOP v0.2, TigerPup 1.6 along with a full-bred PCLinuxOS (almost) 2008 from MiniMe on a Sony VAIO FZ-25, and I'd like to think that I have two of the best Linux distros availabl...

Thank you for the link. Downloading Macpup and will be trying it out soon enough.

--EDIT--

Macpup is pretty, functional and fast on a Sony VAIO VGN FZ-25. Thanks for the hardwork on getting this to us. So far, no real issues to report.
