If Puppy doesn't work then try Damn Small Linux or Feather Linux.

I have run both of them on a P100 with 32MB RAM laptop.

I've used the following with Puppy Linux with no problems at all. If it is just a DVD-ROM then probably any one will work. If it is a DVD-R/RW then probably anything made in the last 2 years will work fine.

LG Electronics
LiteOn
Asus
Panasonic

Re: iI

I don't know if anybody else has noticed (or really care), but visiting many different forums, I notice that "i" is often used in place of "I" for personal pronouns. My old English schoolmaster would have given me a rap over the knuckles for doing that sort of thing. i (oops), I...

Just so long as Puppy can find a suitable partition on the Hard Drive to store it's data on it will work fine.

Re: how to change MAC address?

Where in the startup sequence would I add a line to a file to get Puppy to spoof/change my MAC address? I want the change to occur at the right point in startup so that DNS services will work. Haven't found that correct spot yet. Here is the sequence to use. 1. Turn off computer. 2. Remove existing...

Two attempts to download the .zip file from Mark's site failed about three quarters of the way through. But the .rar file downloaded and installed okay. Puppy 1.0.7 runs really well under vmware. :) I just downloaded the .ZIP file and it downloaded and unzipped and ran just fine. So I am not sure w...
